For NRBs — buy safely from abroad
You live abroad; your dream is back home. This page lays out how you can see, verify and buy at every step without being physically present — designed by Uthonbari's founder from his own expatriate experience.
Buying from abroad — 5 steps
View & ask online
All project information, approval status and total cost are on this site. Detailed discussion over video call.
Verify the papers
Copies of land records and approvals are sent to you — verify them with your own lawyer too.
Arrange a POA
Power of Attorney through the Bangladesh embassy/consulate — understand exactly who gets what authority. Never give blanket authority to anyone.
Pay via bank channel
Only through banking channels (from your FC/NITA account) — a receipt and written account for every instalment, immediately.
Monthly progress reports
A photo/video progress report every month — like being present on site, from wherever you are.
Common NRB fears — our answers
- “Are the papers genuine?” — Match the full checklist yourself before buying: the legal page.
- “Will my money be safe?” — Bank channel only; we never take money in hand or through informal routes.
- “How will I know work is progressing?” — Instalments are tied to milestones: no progress, no instalment. Plus monthly video reports.
- “Will the total cost creep up?” — Extra costs including registration (usually ~8–10%) are written down before the agreement.
About bank loans
In Bangladesh, home loans generally cover up to ~70% of an apartment's value (terms up to ~25 years) — but which bank will lend on which project can only be stated once a project is announced. We make no promises in any bank's name in advance.
